Lancelot
Lancelot was a great knight whom everyone knew., He was fearless in war, and everyone knew that if they were fighting him in battle, there was a slim chance that they would make it out alive.
Before Lancelot was working for King Arthur, he didn't really have a home. He would go around places and fight people for fun to get money.
However, when King Arthur found Lancelot he knew he was special and and asked him to join the knights at the Round Table. He accepted. From then on Lancelot and King Arthur grew closer and closer together. However, so did Lancelot and Guinevere.
They're love for each other was so strong that no one could break it apart. King Arthur was aware of this, but he didn't want to make it public because then he would have to execute the two most important people of his life.
However, a woman named Elaine loved Lancelot too. So, she used magic to make her look like Guinevere in front of him. So, Lancelot slept with her and gave up his purity to someone he didn't even love. Together though, those two had a son named Galahad.
Later on in his life, the affair with him and Guinevere was made public. So, he ran away and basically went crazy in the woods. Then during the day of Guinevere's execution he came back and saved her, but killed his friend Gareth. Sadly, Lancelot and Guinevere never ended up happily ever after, for thier story isn't a fairytale. If Lancelot wasn't in the story of King Arthur, the entire story would have been different. His son Galahad wouldn't have been born, therefore the grail quest wouldn't have been completed. Also, he and Guinevere wouldn't have had an affair and Guinevere would have only loved King Arthur. Lancelot portrays a huge roll with the tale of King Arthur.
